Taken atop the Chase Bank building is just one of the many possibilities high school aged workers get to experience. Our project, Security Deposits: Know Your Rights won a Hometown Award from the Cable Alliance in 2005. Part of the SYEP program.
Our Office over the Years
YOUTH EMPLOYMENT VIDEO PROJECT --
GOVERNMENT, ENVIRONMENT, BROADCAST
One person can create beautiful art work, but as Leonardo de Vinci discovered, the idea needs others to support it, produce it, finance it, and promote it.
Do you need to be familiar with City codes in order to do business in Evanston? Are you interested in the changes being made to the code with regard to the Climate Action Plan and the green building ordinance?
Would you like to hire a youth worker to learn about your business and the codes, the environment, and how to incorporate the results into video that will be braodcast on our local cable access station for all Evanston residents? At the same time giving the worker an opportunity to learn skills of writing, video taping, directing, interviewing, producing, lighting, and sound recording. Skills that can be used in every experience going forward.
There are teens ready to work, we need a Supervisor, an Intern, a Teacher and I'm the Creative Director.
